SMT Process Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled SMT Process Engineer to join our clients production team. You'll be responsible for optimizing and supporting the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line. This includes process analysis, improvement, technician training, implementation of new products, and ensuring high efficiency and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Work type: On-site
Project duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and modify process parameters to optimize SMT line performance
- Troubleshoot unplanned maintenance issues and develop preventive maintenance plans for series production
- Train and develop technicians on SMT line operation, changeovers, and maintenance procedures
- Develop and standardize the changeover process and ensure technicians are adequately trained
- Support the implementation of new products on the SMT line, including sample production and process setup
- Create and maintain all technological documentation (e.g., work instructions, parameter cards, visual aids)
- Analyze line efficiency (e.g., downtime), propose and implement measures to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Conduct PFMEA, develop Control Plans, and analyze rejects to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Adhere to and enforce all relevant HSE regulations, internal procedures, and ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001)
- Report on system performance and contribute to improvements within the Integrated Management System
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by superiors within the scope of responsibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a mechanical or technological engineering field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Hands-on experience with SMT equipment: Laser, Solder Paste Printing & Inspection, Component Placement, Reflow, AOI
- Strong English communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and Windows
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
