About the Project
For one of our clients, we are looking for a System Engineer to join a dynamic and young engineering team. The role is part of a research project focused on developing a generic Battery Management System (BMS) platform for railway applications – a long-term product with strong market potential in the field of electric mobility.
Your Responsibilities
Define and manage system requirements and architecture across the full product lifecycle.
Translate customer specifications into technical system requirements.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and performance.
Support design reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities.
Ensure traceability between requirements, design, and testing.
Contribute to the improvement of system engineering processes and tools.
Provide support for laboratory activities by analyzing issues and identifying solutions.
Act as a System Coordinator (approx. 10–20% of the role)
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
3–5 years of professional experience in system engineering or product development.
Knowledge of EN 50126 norm.
Experience with complex zonal controllers (e.g., drivetrain or BMS) is an advantage.
Solid understanding of system architecture, requirements management, and validation.
Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards (IEC 61508 and related).
Experience with embedded systems, electronics, or software integration.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Fluent English (additional languages are a plus).
