For one of our trusted clients in the manufacturing sector, we are currently looking for an experienced Global IS Domain Architect – Manufacturing to support the strategic development of enterprise architecture within a global IT landscape.
🔍 About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Global IS Domain Architect – Manufacturing to join a long-term project for one of our trusted clients in the manufacturing sector. In this strategic role, you’ll define and steer the architecture roadmap for the Manufacturing domain, aligning IT capabilities with business goals and global enterprise standards. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to design scalable solutions, support digital transformation, and promote best practices across complex, global environments. This is a hybrid position based in Kraków, offering impactful work in a collaborative, innovation-focused setting.
🔧 Responsibilities:
Develop and steer the architecture roadmap for the Manufacturing domain, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the overarching enterprise architecture strategy.
Define domain-specific capabilities and related applications, supporting digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing operations.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including CIOs, Product Owners, and Architecture governance teams to evaluate and optimize existing IS/IT solutions.
Oversee architecture design activities for major projects within the Manufacturing domain, ensuring consistency with global architecture principles, performance KPIs, and security standards.
Define key data models and interface specifications in collaboration with data and infrastructure teams.
Support RFP processes and contribute to project planning by providing cost and effort estimates.
Maintain architecture documentation including application maps, data flows, and lifecycle diagrams.
Participate in the creation and enforcement of architecture policies and frameworks relevant to the domain.
Promote architectural best practices across multidisciplinary teams.
✅ Requirements:
At least 10 years of experience in IT architecture, ideally with a strong focus on Manufacturing and Supply Chain solutions (e.g., S&OP, JIT, warehouse systems, scheduling, transport).
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) and capability modeling.
Hands-on experience in designing technical and solution architecture in complex, multi-system environments.
Proficiency in defining interfaces, data models, and integration solutions (EDI, file-based, API).
Knowledge of conceptual/logical data modeling (e.g., UML), SAP systems, SaaS/IaaS, and modern Edge architectures for manufacturing.
Familiarity with solution design in relation to performance requirements (SLA, RTO, RPO, hosting models).
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Comfortable working in multicultural environments and cross-functional teams.
Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into scalable IT solutions.
Fluent in English.
