We are seeking a Machinery Project Lead to oversee the specification, supplier management, and delivery of specialized industrial machinery projects. This role requires close collaboration with our client’s engineers and plant leaders, ensuring suppliers deliver machines that meet technical and operational requirements.

Work type: Hybrid (willingness to travel approx. 70%)

Key Responsibilities

• Define machine specifications and requirements in alignment with client needs.
• Share specifications with suppliers, assess proposals, and support supplier selection.
• Oversee supplier progress throughout the project, ensuring milestones and requirements are met.
• Review and approve designs created by the selected supplier for specialized machines.
• Work closely with automation engineers and ensure integration of automation, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical elements.
• Manage the complete process from concept approval through to final machine acceptance at the client site.
• Propose improvements, challenge suppliers where needed, and maintain strong project and technical oversight.
• Support commissioning, conduct acceptance tests, and ensure machine readiness.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in battery pack assembly industrialization preferred
• Strong technical background in automation, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical construction.
• Proven experience in supplier management and machine specification.
• Ability to manage full machine lifecycle, from design approval to commissioning and acceptance.
• Familiar with machine FMEA, DFM/A, 8D problem solving, lean manufacturing, ergonomics, and process capability analysis
• Experience with high-volume, automated machinery
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and negotiate with suppliers.
• English at B1 level or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
