Functional Safety Engineer – Railway and BMS
📍 Location: Krakow or Lublin (Poland) / Morocco (2 remote days per week)
🗓 Start date: ASAP
⏳ Contract: 3 months (renewable every 3 months)
We are supporting one of our international clients in the railway sector with the recruitment of a Functional Safety Engineer. This role is key in ensuring compliance with functional safety standards during product development.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage functional safety activities throughout product development.
- Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA), FMEDA, fault tree analysis.
- Define safety requirements at system, hardware, and software levels.
- Ensure compliance with railway safety standards, including EN50126.
- Collaborate closely with system, hardware, software, and validation teams.
- Support suppliers in implementing safety concepts.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in functional safety processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Functional Safety Engineer (preferably in the railway industry).
- Strong knowledge of EN50126 and related standards.
- Skills in HARA, FMEDA, FTA, and safety requirements engineering.
- Fluent English (spoken & written).
- Battery systems knowledge.
