Embedded Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

🕒 Full-time | Initial contract for at least 6 months, likely to be extended up to 1 year

Your Tasks:

• Work within agile, interdisciplinary development teams

• Perform functional validation and verification of embedded products across household, industrial, and mobility sectors

• Independently design and execute software integration, qualification, and system tests

• Prepare detailed analysis reports and test documentation, supporting root cause investigation and issue resolution

• Design, build, and commission semi-automated test benches (Mini-HIL setups)

• Contribute to the development of software tools for data acquisition and analysis

Your Profile:

• Technical education (e.g., IT specialist, technician) or degree in electrical or computer engineering (University/FH/TH)

• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design

• Solid experience in testing embedded software systems

• Programming skills in C++ or Python; experience with NI LabVIEW or NI TestStand is an advantage

• Hands-on mindset and confidence when working with electrical components and test benches
  (up to 280V AC / up to 500V DC / up to 150A DC) — this is a key part of the job

• Good command of English (working language); German is a plus but not required

• Quality-oriented, proactive, and self-organized way of working within interdisciplinary teams

• Open-mindedness, eagerness to learn, and active participation in the developer community

• Optional: Certification in software or system testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester)
