Senior DDI System Engineer
Senior DDI System Engineer in Warsaw: lead large-scale DNS/DHCP/IPAM migrations, automate across on‑prem and cloud, collaborate globally in a hybrid, 12‑month contract.
Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid – partial onsite presence required)
Contract: 12 months (extension possible)
For one of our clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior DDI System Engineer to join an international Network Connectivity team. This role focuses on the design, operation, and development of enterprise-scale DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions in a hybrid environment.
The position is an individual contributor role with a strong technical focus and close collaboration with global teams.
Your responsibilities
Lead DNS services and migration activities for large enterprise environments with high and business-critical DNS traffic
Design, operate, and continuously improve enterprise-grade DDI platforms (Infoblox, BlueCat, or equivalent)
Manage hybrid DNS architectures across on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms (AWS Route53, Azure DNS, Cloudflare, F5, Akamai)
Automate DDI processes using tools such as Ansible, Python, and API integrations (provisioning, cleanup, compliance)
Troubleshoot complex DNS/DHCP/IPAM incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
Drive DNS security and compliance initiatives (DNSSEC, RPZ, audit logging, access control, vulnerability remediation)
Collaborate with Network, Cloud, and Security teams to design resilient and scalable DDI solutions
Implement monitoring and CI/CD pipelines for DNS health checks, zone synchronization, and automation testing
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Train and support operational teams in DDI and Infoblox technologies
Act as a solution architect for complex DDI initiatives involving cross-functional stakeholders
Must-have requirements
8+ years of hands-on experience in DDI engineering and operations
Strong experience with DDI platforms such as Infoblox, BlueCat, or Microsoft
In-depth knowledge of DNS protocols, DHCP lease management, and IPAM design
Proven experience managing DNS, DDNS, DHCP scopes, IPAM hierarchies, and zone migrations across multiple environments
4+ years of experience in DNS/DHCP/IPAM operations, including incident and problem management (L2 level or higher)
Experience working in Agile environments (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, user stories)
Nice to have
Experience with large-scale DNS service or platform migrations
Hands-on experience with cloud-based DDI solutions (AWS, Azure, other SaaS providers)
Knowledge of DNS security and resolution policies
Experience designing and implementing NTP solutions for data centers or cloud environments
Integration of DDI solutions with monitoring and network management tools
Strong troubleshooting skills across DNS, DHCP, and IPAM protocols
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, ARP, NTP)
Experience using public APIs for automation and scripting
Ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
