We are building a dedicated engineering team for the development of micro-optical reflective projection systems for automotive applications.

We are looking for 2 experienced Micro-Optical Engineers with strong background in projector optics, reflective systems, and automotive-grade development.

You will work on compact projection modules involving high-power LEDs, microstructured reflectors, collimators, light guides, and optical filters.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of optical systems incorporating Micro Lens Arrays (MLA)

  • Optical modeling, simulation, and performance optimization using tools such as Speos, LightTools or equivalent.

  • Development of projector architectures (direct / indirect reflector systems)

  • Ray tracing simulations (sequential & non-sequential)

  • Optical efficiency and stray-light analysis

  • Tolerance analysis and robustness validation

  • Optical–thermal co-design with LED and electronics teams

  • Support DFM activities for injection-molded micro-optics

  • Cooperation with mechanical and electronics engineers

  • Technical interface with automotive customers

  • Cooperation with suppliers regarding MLA fabrication technologies (e.g., injection molding, lithography, replication)

Required Experience

  • 3+ years in optical design (automotive preferred)

  • Experience with projector optics, reflectors or microstructured surfaces

  • Strong knowledge of LED-based optical systems

  • Experience with tools such as Speos or similar

  • Understanding of optical tolerancing and production limitations

  • Experience with injection molding and reflective coatings

  • Automotive project experience (V-cycle development preferred)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with automotive lighting (puddle lamps, logo projection, interior projection)

  • Knowledge of EMC / electronics basics

  • Experience working with Tier-1 or OEM customers

  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 or automotive quality standards
